Hello, I'm Joe, currently living in the beautiful island of Taiwan. I have already retired, and my partner Joyce is set to retire in 2030. We've made a decision to embark on an unprecedented adventure in 2031 - a journey around the world.
This decision began to sprout on a certain day in 2023. At that time, we were sitting in our living room, watching a pair of young Chinese friends driving from China to Europe on a self-drive adventure. In that moment, an astonishing idea crossed our minds: why not try it ourselves?
The idea might seem crazy, but it's filled with excitement and limitless possibilities. We began researching various travel destinations, route planning, and essential information, including visas, car equipment, budgets, and even language skills. We knew it was a monumental challenge, but it's precisely these challenges that filled us with excitement.
